BBC reported Monday that Barrie Marshall affirmed Cocker's passing.
The Sheffield-conceived musical performer passed on after a "hard-battled fight with little cell lung malignancy," said his record name, Sony.
Known for his gravelly voice and appealling stage exhibitions, Cocker shot to distinction in the 1960s when his adaptation of With a Little Help From My Friends made it to No. 1 on the graphs. The tune was discharged by the Beatles in 1967 on their discriminatingly acclaimed Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band studio collection.
